About Me
I am currently attending the University of Northern Iowa for a degree in English with a minor in creative and professional writing. I plan to get into the publishing world once I graduate.
I love books.
My favorite genres are sci-fi, fantasty, some YA, memoirs, and any of these presented as a graphic novel. Some of my favorite books:
Rant (Palahniuk)
The Perks of Being a Wallflower (Chbosky)
Sphere/Prey (Crichton), Watchers (Koontz)
The Wise Man’s Fear (Rothfuss)
Harry Potter series (Rowling)
Abhorsen series (Nix)
The Hitchhiker’s Guide series (Adams)
The Demon Cycle (Brett)
Final Empire Trilogy (Sanderson)
I love films.
Some of my favorite movies are The Fifth Element, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-a-Long-Blog, Burn After Reading, The Shawshank Redemption, and The Italian Job. I, of course, have to add in series like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and a few of the Harry Potter movies (especially one and two).
I love anime.
This goes a little out of the way of films, because much of the anime that I love happens in the form of running series. My favorite series are Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden, the Dragon Ball series’, Fullmetal Alchemist (Brotherhood), Noien, Gundam series, Death Note, Mushi-shi, and many, many more.
However, I also love anime movies like all the Studio Ghibli ones (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Nausicaa, Howl’s Moving Castle, etc.), Origin: Spirits of the Past, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Grave of the Fireflies, and many more.
I love video games.
I play mostly RPGs and shooters, though I do love arcade/puzzle type games as well. Some of my favorite video games are Borderlands, Bioshock, the Halo franchise, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion; V: Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fable series, Mass Effect series, Dragon Age, etc.

Are you sure you aren’t me from another dimension? I’ve just been going through your comments on my blog and that one really made me laugh. I don’t know about alternate dimensions or anything like that (I read more Fantasy than Science Fiction) but it is a little jarring just how similar our tastes are.

Oh, I love multidimensional theories.
I also thought I liked sci-fi more, but lately I have been reading fantasy, and I love it. Thank you! I will look forward to reading your posts and commenting on them.
